Haven’t seen any schooling fish. Pulling live bait down the lake is what they are biting. Water is high and muddy like highstrung said. The catfish bite is insane right now.

Largemouth bass specifically although I'm not concerned about the fishing as much as the lake in general. Coaching the high school fishing team and I've never been on that lake in my life and was curious if the water looked as bad as Marion right now.

Yankees are taking over the lake so don't be surprised if walleye and smallmouth aren't stocked in their in the future.

March 2- depends on the weather- I won an warm early March Tourney there on a spinnerbait near the State park and got my but kicked the next year( very cold) by a Hopkins spoon near the Dam.

Wateree is tiny compared to Marion, 1/4 the size, you can swim across it in places, and if my memory is correct is less than 1/2 hour ride long at WOT. Fishes fairly big for it's size due to lots of smaller coves and pockets providing many points and banks. Plenty of docks too.
