Default Synching I-phone to ford truck

Got an I phone 8 a few weeks ago and I guess I did an update that has affected the ability of it to be synced with my truck. Truck is a 2013 f150. I have tried deleting the device from the truck and starting over but when I did that my phone and my truck won’t even recognize one another. Any ideas of how to fix it

Delete and retry. I did an update on mine once and it did the same thing. Took it to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong either. Deleted it one more time and it synched, hasn't given me an issue since. Iphone7 and 2017 F250.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

What do I need to delete? I deleted the phone off of the truck. When I go into the Bluetooth settings on my phone my truck isn’t even listed

Make sure it is gone on both. Reboot the phone and make sure they are both discoverable. Might take a few tries, mine did. Then everything came back.

I’ll try again. The littl bit of research I’ve done has suggested that I need to update the sync on the truck

Won't solve your issue, but will make you feel a little better for a few minutes.

Need to follow the correct procedures:
    (1) Sync to wreckers (nationwide)
    (2)Sync to Ford Dealers (nationwide)
    (3) Sync to Uber (nationwide)
    (4) Sync in the closest body of water.

He said a Ford not a Ram.

Visor, I have the Ford factory diag tool. I’ll update it when you come in for the tires.
