The 11 year old is wanting an Over Under. Cabelas has a hell of a deal on them right now. Do you think I should get the 20 gauge regular version or the compact? I can get the stock cut down if need be, or he can just get used to it.

I bought the compact and the LOP was a little short for me and im not a big guy. I put a simms slip-on recoil pad on it and got it back and it fits me fine.

Cabelas in Augusta has it for $587 out the door.
For the money, they seem like a sweet little gun

Get him a stock that fits him now. No sense in starting bad habits early. Its typically pretty easy to find a youth shotgun a new home.
Measure his length of pull and compare it to the models. Should be able to find that info on the Stevens website. Or have them measure it in Cabelas.
I just called em, if you want a 20 gauge you're gonna have to order it and get it shipped to the store. All they have is 12, 28, and 410
I wish I could breathe life back in him, if I could I'd hunt him again tomorrow. - Ben Rodgers Lee

Damn feet, they must have just sold it.
Never owned one, but this don't look like too bad of a deal for a 12 and a 20 for $548.
