That’s a little young to be working in a processing plant.
Daughter turned 8 last year in March.

She shot that bird out of a blind using a tripod to steady her shot.
We practiced with 2.5" field loads and the turkey load was a 3" TSS.
The second and third hunt were really bad. We even has some trespassers show up on the third hunt. The forth hunt almost did not happen due to the lack of success and mom freakaing out over the trespassers (it was just a couple of teens with a bb gun walking around).
Looking forward to going this year in more of a run and gun situation. 8-9 has been a big difference for maturity. The gun is almost too small for her now.
Good stuff DJP
At 5 to watch, with a gun at 6 on turkeys. Early as 4 years with both for deer but only to watch.

Jane missed her first at 6....
Take em early, set them up for success but make em learn the ropes!

She was 5 when she killed her first one. She’s 14 now and still loves it.
Plant it they will come.
Both of them went with me when they were 3. I wanted to see if they could sit still. They were statues when birds were present or gobbling back. As with anything, make it fun for them and they'll surprise you. Take it too seriously, and you'll turn them off to it in a heartbeat.
