This is a constant push in the industry. Do you remember the really crinkly chip bags? Those were much more biodegradable than current product, but industries did away with them because people weren't buying them. They didn't "market" well. People didn't like the noise that they made....blah, blah, blah.

A ton of research has gone into biodegradable plastics made predominately of eggshells that would be immediately biodegradable when put into water. However, there are still too many surfactants that are released with this process to get it passed. When you address quickly disposing of something, it has to be fine tuned to perfection with all the environmental laws that exist (this is a good thing). However, that is a much easier said than done process in the plastics industry.
I'm going to heaven for the weather and hell for the company.

Be dangerous, unpredictable, and make a whole lot of noise.

Since we are now talking about littering does anyone know why there are tractor trailer loads of recyclables headed up 17 everyday. There is a constant stream of plastican and cans flying out of them SEFA I think is the name on the trucks and Holmes farm. Anyway the highway from awendaw to the Santee River is a damn mess.
