Research what it takes to amend the constitution, as polarized as the country in terms of political viewpoint I just don't think it can be done. To take the position of new established gun control as a republican is career politician (all of them are) suicide. You might think nothing can change with out them amending the constitution, but you are wrong. Things ruitinely get legislated through the courts. Look how some judge just blocked Trump from revoking Obamas executive order allowing transgenders the military. What you are saying is the way it should be, and not the way it really is now.

Since I am on school board people ask me WHAT can we do different, to me NOBODY wants their kids walking past armed guards at EVERY DOOR all day and every day .

Like G Gordon Liddy said years ago "someone that is willing to die for his/her cause regardless of how crazy we think it is can NOT be stopped"


Currently in Anderson Dist 5 we have a resource officer with patrol car at every school and that is about all that can be done to be honest and you HOPE the car/officer is a deterrent


End of the day it all boils down to $$$$$$$$$$, saw this after Sandy Hook when all the politicians were screaming something had to be done until it came down to WRITING THE CHECK to cover stuff. NEVER HAPPENED , we found a way in A5 to add them to every school and moved on

Now we also have active shooter training at schools during the days when teachers come back from summer break. My daughter said she learned a lot that day including things to do and not to do. They even show them last resorts as to how and try and handle a shooter if nothing else can be done or cornered . During this they also shoot blanks so the teachers/staff can hear when gun shots sound like in the bldg from various locations .


Other than this not much you can do, to me I am not sold on teachers with weapons for fact WHAT IF some kids gets a hold on one

Id like to see a Texas Ranger at every school. Law basically mandates I must send my kids to school, I require they come back to me i the same condition I sent them there but just a little smarter every day. We waste tax dollars on shitty causes day after day but I have to buy paper for the teachers to run copies of tests on and still worry when I leave for work that could be the last time I see my children breathing air because somebody didn't get enough hugs?!?!
