    Default Removing a lift kit?

I am looking at jeeps for my wife. TJ models '04-'06.

A couple of them are lifted, which I am not interested in, but because of lower mileage, i am considering.

Question 1. should I even entertain a lifted vehicle? will there be damage from the lift?

Question 2. if I did go that route, how hard is it to remove a lift kit?

Question 2b. If it aint easy, how much would it cost?

A couple things to look for would be longer brake lines, extended steering link, track bars, control arms if it doesn't have a straight axle, etc. Jeeps are the Lego version of vehicles so any and everything can be bought and bolted on. I would say if you don't want a lift, don't buy one with it and save the headache.

They'll have straight axles AND control arms. 2" lift is likely just couldn't springs maybe spacers. Anything over 2" and more will have been replaced i.e. adjustable control arms, sway bar end links, shocks, pitman arm, etc. Unless they have all the original parts, I wouldn't even bother. Even then...

If the money makes sense, why not just buy her a lifted rig that she likes?

Then, when you want to resell it, no problem.
