Have an 06 z-71 Tahoe and just rolled over 240k. Replaced cam/lifters at 187k and it has been my daily driver for about 7 years. I'll agree with puddlesquatter and the comfort of the pre-2007 seats. Not sure what the deal is with the instrument clusters and 2004 but I have seen 3 different Tahoes that all have the same problem.

I have a 2007 GMC Yukon XL, 5.3L with AFM. Had KRT do the AFM delete when I bought it. 175k miles. No drivetrain issues yet.

I had a 99 and 05. Trans issues on both. First one went out under 40k and second one around 125k. Neither used to pull much. But, that is the only issue I had with both of them. Changed oil, tires, batteries and that was it. I bought both used around 30k miles on them.

I had an ‘05 that began to fall apart after 75k miles. Crazy stuff. Fuel pumps, instrument panels, lights, and a seat warmer that will not cut off. The seat would also randomly adjust forward and backward while driving. Radio wouldn’t cut off with the key out and car turned off.

My sister just sold her 2003 z71 Tahoe for $5,500. It had brand new tires and 165k miles on it. It was immaculate. She gave it away

KRT how well do the 5.3's hold up after the AFM delete? As well as old 5.3?
