    Default Duck on the Wall?

My little boy killed his first greenhead over the weekend. I would like to find someone in the midlands to get it mounted.

    Any suggestions on a taxidermist?

What is the going rate for a mounted duck from someone in SC that's worth a damn? I was pricing materials to mount one and it's gone up alot since I mounted some, 10+ years ago.

Make the trip to see Rodney. I know it's a haul. It's worth it!

Take it to Rodney. Pretty country on the way up there too. Worth it.

I remember someone telling my dad that after my first goose hunt when I was younger. I still think about him being a "cheap ass" every time I look at the bird on the wall. . As you start to collect more, it is cool how I can normally remember the exact circumstances the birds were taken. I have recently started making notes on the back of the mounts with date, who I was with, and where.

I have a couple birds right now with a guy in Pawleys that I believe is only doing birds now. Lots of happy customers. I cant even remember the cost maybe, 300.

I haven't had one done by him but I hear good things about the guy in Pawleys, I believe his normal cost is $350.

Guy in Pawleys is Jimmy Hortman and he is first class! Chase Courtney is just as good and he’s closer to the midlands...

Shane Candler in Greenville area. I think he’s $325 a bird now. All he does is waterfowl now. He sold the deer part off.

Wasn't sure if I was allowed to name drop. if you get on FB or IG he has a ton of pictures of his mounts. Also regularly drives all over the state and picks up at different places. He came and got mine in mount pleasant.
