Default SC Dude Makes Pro Finals

It is a sport ain't it? I'd think trying to conquer the waves would be more of a sport than soccer.

Congrats to SC local Cam Richards on making the 2018 Volcom Pipe Pro final

The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

Yep. This is quite an accomplishment. His dad is the owner/shaper of Perfection Surfboards in Garden City.

Damn right it's a sport...and a big sport around here. My daughter is good friends with Cam. Lots of folks talking about it around here.

Worth watching some footage of what this kid can do....He is unbelievably good. SC boy making that type of final is unprecedented. He can, on a surfboard, do what pro skaters do on mini ramps. When you learn to surf on SC's sloppy, mushy waves, you get to show out when you get to surf somewhere nice. Always liked his Dad. Drooled over his boards at Village as a kid.

People are quick to dismiss SC surfers bc there are no waves. That just makes them have to work that much harder to excel in the conditions given.
Take that surfer and put them on a nice clean faced wave that isn't closing out in 3 seconds and you can really do work.

I think I've heard Big Brother say that he was into surfing pretty heavy when he was younger. He was born and raised in Horry County so I don't doubt it.

    Congrats to Cam!!!!

This video of Cam was at the link:

Local South Carolina pro, Cam Richards, put together arguably the wave of the event at this year's Volcom Pipe Pro.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
