Default Flyway Foundation update and needs

Login has been messed up for a while so haven't been able to put this together until now.

Not sure as to what folks have heard. The short of it is that some of the guys that were on the board have had work stuff and life stuff happen and just can't commit to the time that they once were.

So we weren't just going to let it completely fall by the wayside.

We have some new blood and have a few committed to be on the FF board. We could use a few more for those interested in helping out.

We are going to be having a UPCOMING WORK DAY MARCH 10TH @ 9 am until finished FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED. Should tooth not oppose we will meet at BG and pump out as many houses as possible. During the work day we will continue the conversation about where FF goes from there.

We have a new partner in the Packerland Chapter of Delta. They are going to be a distribution hub in that area for hen houses. They understand that it will be their responsibility to install, maintain, and report back to us.

    Our near future goals include:

    * Revamped website (easily accessible data that shows success)
    * more new board members
    * new partners and people with boots on the ground in the region to establish and maintain houses.
    * capabilities to track membership and keep in touch with members.

We found that in the recent years that most people had never heard of the FF at all. We feel that we are only scratching the surface with what we can do.

Stay tuned for an update on workday start time and what to bring.

Thanks for everyones continued interest and support through the years.

I happened to be in attendance when the famous “be the pump” speech was given.

Tooth caught a rat snake and Squatty ran full speed and locked himself in a car, I stuffed hen houses with Dookie, Tater cooked chicken, and I met Sportin Woodies....

In other news, duckcrazed and I will attempt year 2 on hen houses and mottled ducks.
We had no nesting last year, but believe we need to refresh the hay and give them another year for a final test.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Dook had hair that would put those women's shampoo commercials to shame. Every time it caught my eye i thought someone brought golden corrals wonderfall to the party.
