hey guys save the smart ass answers for someone who you can actually bother. A group of us guys are headed down to Edisto and staying on the creek for a buddys bachelor party. I am not asking for any gps coordinates just asking if anyone has been hearing much discussion on if any fish have been caught, or if its even worth dragging the boat down there this weekend to fry and fish. Any real input could be appreciated.

The talk has been of a major fish kill around the island. One guide said the creeks have essentially been sterilized. The water is warming up steadily so as soon as it hits 60 we'll really get to see what's left. Hopefully everything bailed to the deepest water they could find a rode it out. You can still catch Reds though.

Yeah the trout took a major hit. If you do catch any please release them.

I find it hard to do much catch and release so I'll probably just lay off the trouts until October. Bass and sheeps are a different story.

yea I have heard talk of the big trout kill and DNR released a statement asking all fisherman to return any trout back to the water until they figure out just how bad this kill off actually was.

Artificial shrimp just as slow as you can drag it across the bottom.
I mean a creepy slow crawl. Also a 3 or 4 inch halo shad slow as hell retrieve.
Super slow retrieve is the secret to this time of year the further up into a creek you can get the better.

And shrimp on the bottom. Just go soak some baits and drink liquor.

You can catch redfish sight fishing at low tide in shallow water right now. If you catch one in deeper water, drop the anchor because you can catch 50 casting in the same hole.
