Well, congrats on the new gun. That pattern is nice.

With all this talk about now Joe Schmoe can kill a bird out to 70 yards, I have been waiting for someone to make this point. I fully agree. Most of the places I hunt you are lucky if you have a clear shot out to 45 yards. 70 is a pipe dream. I will still shoot Mag Blends out of the 12. To me TSS is for making the .410 a respectable turkey gun.

Knowing how to set up and run a call makes the .410 a respectable turkey gun.

Damn right...it also makes shooting one at 70yrds not even a thought.

If I get the itch to shoot a turkey at 70yds I'll just take my 22 magnum

We all have room for improvement in that regard. I fully agree, but woodsmanship is just as if not more important. If you know your quarry you can kill a bird without calls, but I do like to "talk the language" as Will Primos likes to say. I have plenty of room to improve though.

.410 with TSS will put up better 10" numbers at 40yds than a 12ga with lead 6's.

Woodsmanship is 80% of it if you ask me. That’s the “setup” part....

And yes, you can easily kill birds without calls, but why would you? That’s just sniping and it’s boring. Knowing the land puts YOU in position. Knowing how to handle a caller puts HIM in position.
