GSP Lab hybrid?

Anyone own or hunt with a GSP/Lab hybrid or mix if you wanna say. I ran across a fella with an unexpected litter and have put my name on the list for one. I’ve wanted a GSP for some time but decided against them due to their thinner coat. I’m hoping that with this mix i get the undercoat from the lab. Either way just wondering if anyone had any experience with the mix. Thanks in advance.

I’ve seen some pics of some and they are ugly as shit. Should be a pretty decent dog. 2x the chewing sounds fun. Some people sell those mixes for a grand and north

A friend of ours had one back in the early 2000s. He was a vet from Clinton and his dog was named Mamba. He was really pretty and a decent hunter. Weirdest damn thing though, if you walked into a room with a hat on and mamba was in there he’d growl at you till you took the hat off.

Never seen one. But if youre wanting the coat of a lab, why not just get a lab?

I ended up not getting the puppy and it’s not that I don’t want a lab just the prices have skyrocketed on them. A certified good bloodline used to be under a 1000 now ppl that have just akc registered dogs with no hunting history for 1000 or more

Ask for hip, eye, EIC & CNM certs before you pay that kind of $$$. If they don't have, tell em their dogs ain't worth a shit & walk away.

Its all good buddy . I prefer the Drathaars over the GSP because of the coat . These will not tolerate a cat . These pups dad was a black lab ( solid meat dog )and had a great disposistion . Son has two females if any one is interested .
