    Default Pole barn

I've got the roof on a 20x60 pole barn, and ready to start on the siding. My thought was to use exterior plywood with wooden strips for the board and batten look
Will the plywood hold up? I guess t111 would be better, but I'm having trouble finding it without the grooves.

T111 designates plywood with the grooves cut it, hence why you can’t find it without. As far as which to use, that’s just depends on the look you want. I think the board and batten would be nice too.

Well, that explains that. Is 1/2 inch exterior plywood a reasonable choice?

What are you going to be using the pole barn for? Dirt floor or slab? Ever plan to insulate walls in future? How you answer would determine what I would use on outside.

As long as the glue in the plywood is rated exterior and you seal it good all the way around. I’ve got some pics of some I’ve been doing, ripping down 1x6 for battens will save you some bread too.

If you have sheathing in the walls, you can got to 3/8” and be fine..wouldn’t go thinner or it will get waves in the summertime.

It's on a slab. A boat, a tractor, general storage with a fireplace at one end.

Yeah. Something like that. Is that plywood?

Also - no insulation or interior walls

Are you using treated for the battens?
