20180116_124431.jpgno limits in the marsh, but finally got a black duck.we also shot widgeon, mallards and teal.they all worked perfectly and locked up into the decoys couldn't have been prettier.the fog Tuesday was thick and we had 10 drake pintail sneak in on us.they were just outside the decoys and gliding.we thought they where gonna swing around and give us another pass but the 300 or so swans behind us pulled them off.we where all pissed but we told ourselves we did the right thing by not educating them or crippling a couple.man it was beautiful.i learned that swans will draw ducks and geese like nothing else.it was a sight to see.we will definitely be going back next year for another 3 days or more.

Yeah I usually go to southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas every year.have some buddies who live there.its been really slacking off where we hunt.alot more pressure and the ducks seem to be moving more west.we are looking at leasing something maybe in west Tennessee in the river bottoms.public land where we usually go is shot to shit

We killed a mix of greater and lesser.i didn't know they were rare.i talked to the guides about them and they said they mix in together all the time.along with redheads.we saw several thousand I can only imagine what was out in some of those big flocks.they flew constantly monday.like swarms of bees.not a minute went by without seeing ducks somewhere around us.amazing
