Or Holly Tree or Cedar Tree. I wouldnt't use Christmas trees. The limbs are too tight together and don't allow crappie, in my world, to get in the brush. Only bait fish will get inside the limbs.

Christmas trees are not what you want buddy. Let's go walking and cutting one day and bring lots of cold units. Well make some piles that will hold up and attract fish.

Christmas tree work fine for bass. I prefer bamboo. I have used Myrtle bushes as well.

For crappie, you would want an upright bush/tree.....like myrtle or bamboo.

Ehh to the bamboo. I want something i can find on a graph after a year and a half or two years. Ive found it can be difficult to do so with bamboo. Stick to wood.

That's what waypoints are for. If they are holding fish, you will see them.

I really like how the dirtnecks around Lake Marion cut the tops out of the cypress trees and use those.

The dirtnecks around Russell just cut whole fucking white oaks or any oak for that matter off the bank into the water.

When cutting off the bank, Myrtle should be used. It works for the fish and you can't kill the bush. I have caught a lot

of fish off of other peoples myrtle bushes.

And Holly and also Crepe Myrtle are some very hard wood. I bet it lasts a long time under water.
