Cleaned some ducks earlier, saw rice breast in a wood duck, which was a first for me.
Have you seen it in most species? Prior to this, I'd only seen it in mallards.

I killed a Woody last year that had it. Only seen it personally in mallards previously.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Seen it in a teal this year.
teal, spoony, mallard, wigeon, pintail, and gadwall have all had it in my experience. Never seen it in a diver though. Not saying they don't get it but just haven't seen it personally.
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
I have killed Mallards, wigeon, shoveler and black ducks with rice breast. Seems like I see it less frequency than I used to.

Wagyu duck breast.
I have personally only seen it in mallards and spoonies.
I just saw it for the first time in a Pintail today. It wasn't as bad as the above picture but there was no denying what it was.
