Never seen anyone pluck doves before!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

Curry in that last one?

Yeah, I like Thai food, plus the wife likes it. I just don't like to cook it because I don't want to ruin it for myself. We pop into Basil from time to time, but if it's been a while I'll mess around, normally just pad Thai. I added some red curry to some coconut milk with a few other things, fish sauce and what not. I liked it, a lot.
I like Basil. Red Curry Duck is my standing order. I don't cook Thai at home either probably for the same reason.

My wife like was pretty excited when they opened up a Basil closer to us, Colatown.
My wife is pretty addicted to that coconut chicken soup. The one in Mt Pleasant is about a mile and half from the house. She would gladly go more than I agree to. I think I have decided to pluck the next several doves I shoot. There may be curry, there may be "coq au vin."

My wife goes for the same thing then pad their pad thai. I like it, but I don't have to order it because I'm going to end up eating some of hers that she doesn't finish. I normally go for that duck salad, and/or the duck entree.
I get a mess of doves during the start of the first season, normally start grilling them before hunts. I pick a few dozen a season. It's easy, and can prepared in different ways. I mean it's not like I don't love little cut off seared or fried breasts though..

I like dove so much that I get worried about covering up the flavor and usually stay away from anything too big as a sauce or accompaniment. I only get to go once maybe twice a year so I have to get my fix off of 25-30 birds. I feel like roasting them whole and skin on like that though may allow them to stand up to some bigger flavors though.
