Have you priced the part on ereplacement parts?

ms290
I think I have a lead on a used one at the local shop. Just go to get off the phone and get by there. I saw some replacement parts on ebay and amazon. But the model numbers were off by one number so I'm going to try the local shop first.
They didn't have any of the plastic molded pieces. Just bars, spark plugs, filters, etc.
I would not want the handle of my chainsaw to come apart on me while making some awkward cut. Just buy the new handle for safety sake.

You certainly need no degree, but the tensile strength comment was funny. As was your offense shown at my dig.
I'm glad you see it daily.
Pass along a fiber reinforced 2 part epoxy (preferably w/ a mixing tip syringe applicator). I'd love to keep that product in the back of my mind for future reference.
Thanks.
**Agreed that replacement is the best route.
***If'n you had some 40/40 laying around, I'd bet the farm that handle would outlast that motor.
Ebay for the parts. You may be surprised at what you will find on used parts. Have had similar experience and found just what I needed at a reasonable price for one of my stihls. I now see you have free parts offered already. I've spent a fair amount of $ at the Simpsonville ACE on chainsaw and power stuff. Hope I can get some free parts next time! LOL
