That 3yr olds character was probably questionable.

    Prayers for that family.

So, y'all's contention is that any pit is capable of this at any time? Does this possibility exist with any other breeds as well?

It's in every pit bull story...

Remington (the pit bull) had not behaved aggressively prior to the attack and had been seen playing with Dodge's (the owner) son several times without incident.

Any dog has the potential to snap.

However it seems as though there is a disproportionate amount of attacks that involve those cute cuddle bugs known as pit bulls.

would you rather step on a mouse trap or a bear trap
You can set that bear trap in the back yard for many, many years and it may never go off when you walk by it but if you ever step into it...game over.
You can step on that mouse trap every damn day.

Pits have their place- in fighting dog rings and as catch dogs for hogs and bears etc.- not as family pets

How often do you read an article stating a lab attacked and killed a 3 year old. Or really any other breeds as often as you do Pits?

It's like playing Russian Roulette...you won't die every time you pull the trigger, but as for me and my family, we'll pass on the pit bulls.

I resist the desire to scratch a cat on it's tummy. I prejudge the outcome based on my past experiences.

That is my contention, at least about the pit bulls.

If your pit ever did harm a family member, would you admit you were wrong? Or could it happen to anyone who has any dog? Just curious.

Does anyone, besides Turbo, defend this notion? I mean people other than the ones in these horror stories?
