However it seems as though there is a disproportionate amount of attacks that involve those cute cuddle bugs known as pit bulls.

You can set that bear trap in the back yard for many, many years and it may never go off when you walk by it but if you ever step into it...game over.

Pits have their place- in fighting dog rings and as catch dogs for hogs and bears etc.- not as family pets
I resist the desire to scratch a cat on it's tummy. I prejudge the outcome based on my past experiences.
Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.
