I watched Halloween The Curse of MM last night and along these same lines, find it funny that the characters always go investigate with no light or weapon. If those took place in the south, we would have a million lumen spot light and belt fed .50bmg ready to do some work but I guess that wouldn't make for a long film.
I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
