Blonde? $800 easy looking at the condition I can see, maybe $1000.

    Auto 5 - gas
A5 - that “kinematic” stuff taken from benelli’s expired patent.

Maybe $900.00 for someone really wanting a Belgian Blonde. Less if the stock has the tell-tale split on the forearm.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

That butt plate doesn't look like the factory ones on my old A5 Belgium Brownings.
Definitely an Auto 5, not an A5

Wrong! The Auto5 is John Browning's original patent. The A5 is the new gun released several years ago. The Auto5 is an inertia gun and production ended in 1998.

What Gregory said. That stock is the rounded version of older Brownings. That gun does not look that old by the pic. You can look up the serial # and see the year.

Well technically there is a difference between inertia (new A5) and Long recoil ( auto 5) but no need to split hairs. What Gregory said also...

that shotgun appears to have had the buttstock replaced. Serial number makes it a 73 model and most after 67ish had flat pistol grips. Also that is not a blonde stock. Its a lighter walnut but blondes are significantly lighter.

They have been called A5's for decades, long before tge new "A5's" came out. The real name is Auto-5 but many shortened it. It is like calling a 45 Colt a 45 "long" Colt. Some people just want to argue and prove they are smart on the web

Auto-5's are recoil operated not gas

Bobby, in the condition its in its a 6-700 dollar gun to me.

That was my first thought too, but I never went thru the trouble to check dates.

Bobby, is he the first owner? Could that buttstock have been modified to make it a round knob?

Either way, it is a fine bird killing machine. GLWPurchase

One of the main things that nobody has mentioned that affects price substantially is the barrrl restriction. If it's a * or a $, it's not going to fetch a big price.

I’m not sure if he was the first owner. He is not in good health and also his wife is selling guns to pay for medical bills. She stopped by yesterday afternoon just to get my thoughts and I told her I would try to get an idea of what they were worth.

I did get a nice marlin 30-30 with a Nikon pro staff scope never been shot.

I have a Blonde Belgium A5 and would not take that for it BUT that is about what they are worth from what I have seen at gun shows

Didn't they start adding the vent rib sometime in the 70's?
