The gamecocks would have not made the playoff today. They were ranked 9th going into the bowl game in the BCS and ended up 4th. #2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 lost in the bowl season. This allowed Scar to move up to the 4th spot in the AP Poll at 11-2.
