I would hope that all those tournament participants would still be burning gas looking for him, though. Hopefully they find him

That is awful. I imagine there will be gps tracking units on big tournaments before long, with a tournament official looking for odd gps signals.

I would say that idea meets up with some friction...

They were asked not to help look for him, I'm guessing they didn't want to risk someone else getting hurt with the bad weather. At least that's what I've heard from some guys that were fishing the tournament.

    Terrible situation.

Nik has still not been found. From what I hear after he got slung out the boat he was still alive and waving for help.
The motor stalled would not start back up. Bill jumped on the trolling motor to try to get to him an then he fell off the boat because of the waves. Lots off people have been looking for him but there battling rough water which makes the search harder.

The size of the lake being enormous will make recovery very difficult. Prayers to his family and friends.

That area is more open than the rest of South and western parts of the lake, surprised it took so long to find the body. Interest in what they hit as I drive around that lake on plane during the early morning hours during duck season without thought.

Reports are saying they took a big wave and tossed him out.
