    Default Chasing beev

The last day I was able to hunt I ran into heavy beaver sign. I can’t imagine it’s doing to much damage to the property but I’ve got an itchy trigger finger. My question is who’s actually eaten the four legged beaver.
I’ve seen Steve rennella cook and eat them on YouTube. I don’t want to kill it for the sake of just killing but if it taste alright I’ll give it a shot. Yes I know this is opening me up to all sorts of comments.B048439D-B8E8-4DF2-9477-3C76800F3FAE.jpg

kill it before it calls friends or worse has babies.

Clearly you have never run across these evil creatures. They are busier than a 2 year old on coke and meth at the same time. You can never out do them.

    Or

    You don't own the property.

I don’t own the property and have never seen one in person and your analogy has me rolling on the floor laughing out loud.

I've had them roasted in the oven with onions, taters, and carrots, and had them slow cooked in a crock pot with BBQ sauce mixed in after done.

The only way I've cooked them is grinding them, and making chilli with it.

Be careful around the back end when you clean them. The castor glands are back there, and will ruin the meat if not handled properly.

It is a darker meat, but has a similar taste to beef.

Pelts are pretty shitty in SC. So, I don't use them for much.

I’d imagine it’s a pretty damn big beaver to make it through that tree.

    No....No...NO

Even the smallest of them could turn a red wood into a tooth pick given enough time.

You have no idea the evil in which you have encountered.

I’ve hunted a lot of them over the years. Always shot them anywhere from about an hour before sunset, to a couple hours after dark. I put a mini mag light on my .22 rifle and use shooting sticks. Head shots are quick and effective.

you want to eat beaver? How is it that someone hadn't run with this yet?

A depredation permit for them is very easy to obtain, and helps eliminate any headaches to you may possibly have to deal with for shooting at night.

Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.
