    Default Pheasants

Got out again with Frank. He's now 2.5 and today showed he's really starting to figure it out. He hunted hard, held points great, and even learned how to handle running birds. He is usually a 50 yard range dog, but today I had a youth with me and held with in 30 and kept circling back to the kid to lick his hand as to say hurry up and let's go. Finished with 3, should've had our 4 man limit.

We chased, and he pointed that bird for probably 500+ yards. Would run 10 to 50 yards, point and do that over and over. For some odd reason he figured that would be a good place to hold up. Franklin came around the tree and about broke his back spinning around so fast to point.

That's good stuff. What's a limit of pheasants anyway?

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
