    Default River Lizards

Would you hunt your dog on the lower Savannah this weekend? Highs in the low 70's and low in high 50's. My gut tells me no but I am not real experienced in hunting the area nor alongside gators. What's your opinion? Thanks in advance.

if you have to ask that question I would go with a no. if you dog is like mine and your best friend there is no way I would risk it.

I see you have looked at the temps. I have no patience for this kind of stupidity. Prayers sent for the dog.

Thanks for the reinforcement of my common sense. Like I said, I have no experience hunting around gators as I am fairly new to the area. Not sure if I am being paranoid about them but at the same time don't want to learn the hard way from a bad experience. People still hunt with dogs all over the southeast but I am sure they are more aware and what to be careful of from experience.

A dog was taken the last day of the season by a gator on the Cooper a good many years ago.

Are you asking about all lizards that live in and around a river or just alligators in particular?

You have no patience, yet you took the time to comment and edit that same comment? Go find something to take up your time.

No one here has ever had their dog eaten by a gator. If it's a boykin, please video.

I am leaving in a couple of hours going to hunt The Cape below Georgetown and my dog is staying home. I saw gators at Murphy Island a few years ago when it was 23 degrees. I could not take watching my dog being eaten and my wife would kill me as well.
I only hunt on days that end in "y"!
