I was brought up thinking bluegills, shellcrackers, redbreasts, and pumpkinseeds were all breams. Only if you wanted to split hairs or talk about the preferred baits (bluegills like crickets, shellcrackers like worms, redbreasts like Catalpa worms and crickets), you called them by their more specific name but otherwise, they all tasted the same and were called bream.

That would still be good location for a bait store. I used to be in there a lot in the late eighties and early nineties.

This was in the 70's, but yeah, it would. Someone sells bait right along the river back behind there now.

One at ware place would do well. If, it was open early enough to accommodate everyone that wants bait at 4:30 a.m. . A ton of lake traffic comes through going to Hartwell, clarks hill, greenwood, and secession. People sell bait around some, but they do it on bankers hours now.

it was more like thirtyeleven but who's counting.

I think we can (mostly) agree a bream is a bream.

But a mollie, I'm tellin' ya, is a mollie.

    wait....I meant shellcracker!

    ha^

    a trout is a trout.

there is no such thing as a bluegill.

I'm cool with most everything being a brim (bream).

I call a mollie a warmouth but my grampa said mollie. A warmouth IS actually a sunfish but also called a "warmouth bass"....so, in a way, it is part bass and bream...yes.

    I still call a shellcracker a shellcracker.

How'd I do DDS? Learn something?
