On a serious note, all NFL teams now have a chiropractor on staff. People in the know recognize the benefits for pain relief, injury prevention, optimal athletic performance, etc.

According to the research I have conducted; you will be paralyzed within a year. Good Luck!

For you serious guys trying to help, Thanks. My pain is Lower back down into my butt on left side. Gonna try a yoga stretching class at work next week at least a day or two. For the rest of you bunch of numb nuts, suck it! At least y'all didn't let me down with your 1/2 brain cell entertainment.

You are Welcome! On a serious note, I have had back problems for a long time. The things that have helped me the most are stretching my hamstrings out, ice on it when it first starts to hurt and anti inflamitories like ibupfrofin or prescription flexirol

I would lay off the running and try swimming for a while.

If you are in serious pain I would not do yoga. That's just going to irritate the muscles.

You either have piriformis issues or sciatic issues if it’s going into the butt. YouTube different piriformis stretches.

These can help if it’s the sciatic.

Is the pain constant? Better or worse after you start moving around? Hurt more when you sit down or stand?

With the pain going down into your butt, it could very possibly be sciatica. I use a chiropractor, and he has helped me tremendously, but they are not for everyone. I battled back pain for 15 years that would radiate all the way down to my calf. I saw multiple doctors and had several x-rays and MRI's done. The only thing the MD's did for me was give me drugs which really didn't help except to ease the sharpness of the pain. One told me that I had rheumatoid arthritis, and there wasn't much to do other than live with it. I finally went to the chiropractor that my father-in-law uses, and haven't looked back. I also have an inversion table that I use when I feel any pain or stiffness in my back now. Another thing to look at getting is a tens machine. They are great little massagers, and easy to take everywhere with you. This is one that popped up with a quick search.

Good luck with resolving your issue.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is,
as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

You can get a tens unit for under $50 on eBay. Does wonders for tension, pinched nerve, sore muscles and more.

Doug, mine started at 30 and hasn't gotten better or worse. MRI shows a degenerated disc and arthritis. I went to an Ortho (CMI in N Augusta and Aiken) who told me that and that there was nothing to do except live with it til I can't, then they'd fuse 2 vertebrate. I live with some pain down my left leg on and off, but as long as I watch what I do, it's manageable. The worst part is what I believe is Restless Leg Syndrome. Sounds like nothing but when it happens, you can't sit or sleep. Good luck, I hope it passes by.

Yeah, when you sit around getting fat you can expect stuff to start falling apart.

If you start picking up heavy things and eating meat, things tend to heal up.
