    Default Mount

I posted the story behind this deer I killed in Missourion my late grandfather's farm, about a month ago. Finished the mount and thought I would share, as I was very happy with the way it turned out. It wasn't a monster by any means, but the sentimental value and what it meant to me deserved the best I could give it. Found a 2x4 of old heart pine from house, that we made the placard with. Ripped, planed, coat of natural stain, and poly. Pretty cool deal and couldn't be happier with he way it turned out. Plan was to put it in the garage, but this one may have made it into the house!!

Looks awesome, and it deserves to be in the house.
