It was a good series. Picked up on the Hatfields and McCoys because I watched this and Longmire. That ain't too bad either. Long episodes, though, like Lonsome Dove was.

I'm hoping we will see a resurgence of the Westerns, the Sci-Fi stuff doesn't interest me much. I like the high quality video combined with a good western story line - so much potential.

I really enjoyed it too. In the UK they have a real history of short-run series that do very well and they never look back. I think we have a bad history of wringing the rag just a bit too long in the US media. Breaking Bad has taught us that a series with a beginning and an end produces some great drama. Back to Godless, I cannot imagine what the budgets must be for these original series. I read the cash on hand for Netflix but will not repeat it here, just know that Jeff Bezos (Amazon) has stated that he is and will be Netflix's biggest threat and reportedly told screenwriters and producers they will outbid everyone for good product. He has now produced first run movies that have won Academy Awards like Manchester by the Sea. I see that Netflix and Bezos are going to make runs for live sports (Amazon already simulcasts NFL Thursday games) and then it will be a hard argument for over the air and/or cable TV. MG

BTW Netflix had a NEGATIVE cash flow of $2billion in 2017 versus $1.7 billion in 2016 and their stock price soared in the last qurter due to higher than expected subscriber rates. Go figure, loose $300 million more and your stock goes up.

breaking bad is probably one of my all time favorites...but you're right, after a few seasons things seem to just go down the rabbit hole, going into the 4th season of Longmire and I'm already thinking, how this small wyoming has a new murder every fews days?...After a while you run out of ways to kill people...

I thought the same way about Longmire at times but I'm a sucker for any kind of tv show that could be considered western-related. The end is good!

Have you watched hell on wheels yet?

    Next on my list.

We binge on so much Netflix and Amazon stuff. I even got into Goliath on Amazon, but I like almost anything with Billy Bob Thornton in it.

I need to try to get back into Hell on Wheels. It kinda lost me half way into Season 2.

Give "Ozark" a look. Jason Bateman stars and either directs or produces it. Pretty good.

    I'll give it another shot.

Not spoiling anything I don't think, but the big gun fight in "Godless" was like a western version of John Wick.

Any of you binge watchers spoil this for me and you'll get a stealth fighter fist to the voice box for Christmas.

It was alright. A lot of holes to me and no real plot but it had good action and effects.
