Hard to beat vegetable beef soup on a night like tonight.

Just had grits and bacon and eggs and toast myself for dinner. For me, Nothing beats a warm breakfast for dinner on a cold nasty night.

The vegetable soup does look tasty though! Crumble up some corn bread in it....yummy, but breakfast gets the nod for me

    What is “white chili”?

I’ve honestly never made chili that didn’t involve kidney beans, hamburger, and a packet of McCormick chili seasoning. Probably need to put that on my to-do list this month.

I cooked a chicken, sausage and shrimp gumbo yesterday. It turned out pretty good. I did not get a pic of the finished product but here it is before adding the shrimp and okra.

Yep, my wife makes a very similar White Chicken Chili, as she calls it, that is fantastic. I like just some plain corn chips crunched up in it

Wife put a twist on the meal with a new receipe, sausage-and-herb cornbread. She also added some smoked sausage to the beans. Life is good.
