To be honest I have pumped a pile of gas out of diesel truck and one it's out they go back to running. Never had a issue where it tore anything up. It happens once or twice a month. Now def accidental in the tank is super fucked up then.
Ford the fuel system will be full of rust thruout the whole system. Duramax I haven't seen a problem with rust on 2006 and up. Even though after 2010 they share the same systems. Only difference I see is Duramax uses a plastic tank and Ford used metal. Either way they are fun to drive but expensive to own.
Mean while this 6.2 a long block cost 4200 lolololol

    So KRT,

If you were currently in the market for a diesel, I guess you'd go with the Dodge? Or what?

If your truck is still under warranty make sure to check with the stealerships to see if this will void any factory warranty you have left before adding the lift pump. When I deleted my truck I went ahead and did a CP3 conversion along with a FASS 150 lift pump and Opti-Lube XPD (winter time) or the Summer blend every time I fill up. I know converting to a CP3 was probably overkill but I did not want to take any chances of a $10-$12k bill finding its way to my wallet.

I have a 2016 F250 you can get. I'll put the diaster kit on it for you.

Anything 2017 and newer you will be fine as they come with lift pumps.

Ram has never had this issue, any year model

Lift pump added does void GM warranty. The diaster kit on the Fords is CARB compliant and does not void warranty.

GM doesnt want you to help prevent the cause with a lift pump because they possibly lose the oppurtunity to make thousands....

Keep in mind GM states the CP4 failure isn't covered under powertrain 100k warranty anyway. So how does adding a lift pump void the powertrain? Hmmmm....

Guess it is just another way for them to screw you out of money. I got an extended warranty from a 3rd party that covers everything even after I deleted the truck.

Do you have to lift the cab or bed to install the pump?

No but we already had cab off so we did it then to make it easy. Work smart, not harder.

What do you feel was the cause of this? Solely contaminated fuel or hot tune?

Lack of lubriation, fuel, and the way the CP4 operates (no lift pump etc)

    So basically piss poor design.
