This is not a tradition by any means but since I have it fresh on hand, I will be taking some yellowfin sashimi as an appetizer for lunch tomorrow.

Picked up a bushel of McClellanville clusters for a buddy in the upstate, made a pit stop at the in laws, they might not make it to him.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    Default Non traditional thanksgiving meal

For the past several years wood duck poppers has been an appetizer. Cracker pie is always a staple (substitute saltine crackers vs macaroni). Wife made a bourbon cheesecake this year. Looks very good.

That one caught me off guard. But I laughed. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell us it isn't funny.

It's a mess of stuff for us, honestly I never know. We shoot ducks then move to our dove field and cabin. Some will be cooking breakfast the others shooting doves. After several pounds of bacon, coffee, and whatever it dies down. I'll probably start picking birds then waiting for the rest of the family members. Everyone brings a couple dishes, and I'll probably cook some birds for us that are doing meat on the grills. We eat, then probably feats of strengths, something of that sort normally happens.

Lord have mercy at the food.

We went to Nan's family in Tupelo .. All of the clan brought something. The highlights were - Brisket from some local gas station / five star roadside cafe, asparagus casserole, her Mom's sweet potatoes, a Strawberry cake and my daughter's homemade Key Lime pie.

    We were blessed.

Only duck pic I took, walking out the swamp, evidently my camera likes to focus on Chessbay better. It's probably working on 20 years with him and I hunting on Thanksgiving morning, now more family is involved

    Awesome!

I was just told that one more coffin nail is to be shoved into my chest.. We are assembling the clan at 4PM and descending upon the local fried seafood place- " Cravin Catfish" in ******* , MS..

It's Nan's daddy's usual policy to go and eat there Friday after Turkey day( and pay double) since the family that owns the restaurant feeds anyone who needs a meal on Thanksgiving for free.

The Catfish is excellent ... I'm going to do my best to pay tonight. It's my turn.. oh yeah, Hotty Toddy!!!
