How will I keep current with the news? It all comes from this site.

Smoke signals?
In reality, I am sure Mark Zuckerberg will be more than happy to let you use his platform as long as you only discuss politically correct subjects.
I reckon we'll hafta go back to the old ways.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is,
as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

This is surely a money grab. I suspect you'll see "packages" like the cable companies having most of what you might want, but missing key components so they can make you pay more. Basic internet speeds would be throttled down. Want faster, you'll pay. Want sports streamed, pay extra. Stream movies, that's extra. Watch videos, extra.
If you think your internet costs won't increase while your experiences decreases, then you're fooling yourselves.
Websites may have to pay to play or see their access moved to the back of the line. Internet provider doesn't like guns or hunting? They might restrict your access to certain sites or at best throttle speeds down to dial-up levels. Leans a little to the left of the political spectrum and you may have a hard time viewing right-wing sites.
Here's a quote I read somewhere...."“if you like your cable company, you’ll love what this does for the Internet."
Special interest at their finest. Comcast, AT&T, etc have gotten the upper hand in Washington. You will pay dearly to stream Netflix, browse Facebook, or Twitter to the world that you are taking a dump.
I want to say y'all are over reacting. That this won't happen. But honestly this has the potential to be disastrous.
I'm not so worried about small websites having to pay for service. That is a legitimate concern but that isn't where the money is. The bigger play is the ability for the telecom companies being able to stiffened out their biggest competition with internet TV.
When all of the cord cutting started it was obvious that it wasn't but a matter of time before pay day was coming. Cord cutting or not, streaming TV on the net was always going to be how people ended up getting their TV.
This seems like it would be a knife to the heart of most small web based businesses, and even some brick and mortar companies. Hopefully it won’t pass based on that alone.
