I load 405gr hard cast at about 1300fps. Its a load i use in my marlin 45/70 and this rifle seems to like them too

    Nice shootin’ Roy.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Buy one. I read all the holier than thou guys say to buy a custom one from montana but they are north of 2k for a plain one. The pedersoli can be had around a grand. Found mine significantly less. Its extremely accurate. That set trigger will put most bolt guns to shame. Hope i can sit in a stand a few times this week and maybe put a 405gr slug to work

Shooting some 405gr hard cast reloads and some 300gr factory loads at some seasoned oak logs today. 405's busted through over 11" and the 300grs stopped at 6 or 7
