Not a handle, but what i have experienced so far. Have killed two bucks that were rank with dark tarsal glands in Lancaster County. Both came to does and the first, 10/28, was in full sneak and grunting. Watched a 2.5 yr old 4 pt chase does around a plot grunting and sniffing them for 20 minutes before the second one, 11/10, I killed came running into the plot. Have not seen a receptive doe, but I did not give the second one a chance to find one. Good luck.

Shot a buck before I killed the second two, 10/27, but never found him, must have pulled the shot. He was keeping tabs with a doe, but not chasing her.

Yep. I actually saw more big ones in person and on camera in daylight the first week of October, but the second and third week were solid too. The big ones I haven’t killed have disappeared from my cameras the past two weeks. I believe they may be locked down with does right now but they should loosen up a little over the next few days if they follow the same script from years past. Going to pull about 8 cameras in the morning and find out.

I wasnt being completely serious. Carolina counsel is pretty spot on. I killed a 9pt chasing a doe on Oct. 11th last year and then an 8 on Nov. 4th. In Anderson Co. I see most of my chasing the last week of Oct. into the first couple days in Nov. The Property in Mccormick I hunt I see most my chasing the first week and a half, two weeks in November.

I pulled cards from 12 cameras yesterday. They had been out since November 3. Dinks and does all over the place. One decent 3.5 year old buck on camera. None of the mature bucks I have had on camera all season made a showing. In other words, I think you're right.
