I'll bet that boy ate half of that pot. Congratulate your son on 18 great years, that is a feat nowadays.

He had eggs at a boil once and wanted them. His party not mine.

I like the egg idea. From now on, let's call it Frogmore Stew. Being able to call that stew their own is the only thing those po folks on Frogmore ever had. Well that, and an ass load of heirs property...

And heads on the shrimp...but we'll get there.

I clicked on this thread expecting someone to correct or criticize your name of 5 ingredients boiled in a big pot. I was not disappointed.

We'll have the burner going in a few days for the same thing. Nothing like it.

That’s because yankees refer to it as low country boil or at least people from outside of South Carolina.

Happy Bday to your young man!!

Looks great! Eggs to a boil seems like it would be gasoline on a fire the next day ;-)!

Frogmore stew doesn’t have potato - and it makes it harder to clean shell the shrimp.

If someone insists on potatoes I do them in a separate pot. Keeps the starch off everything.

I was about to bypass this post, but figured I need to check to see if it violated any true Frogmore values. As often happens, there are multiple violations and the ghost of Frogmore will seek you out. I'd run for the hills

Damn that ain't no Frogmore stew! FS don't have damn taters and certainly not eggs. The real violation appears to be imported frozen shrimp. If so, the spirits of Frogmore will haunt you for life..
