Local SC oysters have the best taste for sure. If anyone wants jumbo oysters they need not look for gulf oysters, look for Chesapeake bay oysters. Some of them are as big as your hand and taste better than gulf selects.

Best oyster to be had are from the mouth of North Inlet. Takes 16' tongs and a good strong back but they are well worth it.
