    Default Strong 2nd season opener

Saw more birds today than anytime this season so far. How about everybody else? You see the same thing ?

I sprayed out some winter annuals in the field last weekend and cut down some standing millet. We had 5-6 dozen birds that had showed up over the previous week. I am taking some wheat out today, hoping it will help us have a good hunt over Thanksgiving.

Boozer will be parking in our field at the start of a season. I bet he's excited.

This is in no way a settlement of our bet

Volunteer flowers look better than some fields I've seen trying to make them grow. Hopefully the late season will be good.

Ours is covered with volunteers, any row that was cut at least. Not that high though, I'll blame it on the rain. I've cut corn, and now we're turning over dirt for normal agriculture practices.

I have them all over a spot I plowed and top sowed with wheat couple weeks ago where I deer hunt.

My problem is i have cob corn out right beside it for deer/hogs.

Couple of us were thinking about shooting it Thanksgiving am but afraid I will still have corn there then, have not put any out in over a week

It is LOADED with birds, funny to watch them get up when deer come into the field and it startles the deer for a second

You can see the area to the right side plus they love staying in the tall grass I left there as well

Our doves have moved on. Northern Anderson county. We shot today and the numbers were way down from last weekend.
