Peepaw and Step pep got into with the neighbors who still hunted on the club next door. When they accidentally shot at said neighbors they didn't blame it on phantom poachers, they were too coked up for such creativity.

Through texts y'all determined the second shot wasn't the three of you, all within 100yds of each other, then you receive text son was grazed by bullet? Really glad this didn't end worse but I'm just scratching my head based on the info provided. How big of tract is this? Is it normal to hunt that closely? Interesting....

Son is 15. Normally my son and myself hunt that close together but normally not three that close. That particular tract that we were hunting is about 55 acres.

I've got a 65 acre tract that could hold three hunters pretty close together and each would be surveying a different part of two fields. That might actually be a safer way to hunt. Everyone knows where the others are and they are likely to be shooting in the other direction.

I still can't wrap my head around this one though. If I ever sit on a jury where someone wearing blaze orange is shot, I'm going to be hard to convince it wasn't intentional.
