Default Arm Pits and Long Walks In The Park...

Made my annual trek out to Tennessee. Missed the rut once again and caught them in the middle or tail end of their lull. It’s the problem you have with having to schedule trips and vacation almost a year in advance. Regardless I had fun like always, walked a ton of miles. Pushed into some new areas. Saw, not seen, a ton of deer; just not THE deer. Filled a doe tag on the next to the last day. Having the wife and crips with me made this one a special trip.

    A little wine with dinner...

An abandoned grain drill in pretty decent shape. Nice work, USFS. Nice work.

Lost my knife. Hiked back in to the gut pile to look. Was about to give up when I saw the tip of the blade sticking out from under some leaves. Moved one leaf for the pic.

Pretty good way to be greeted at camp...

    Hunt like a wolf!!!

those old old timers were the heat. The new ones suck. I'm disappointed, I though you shot a stick bow, not one of those new fangled things with wheels and pulleys and stuff. Looks like a mighty pretty place. Love the mountains in the fall

Looks like an amazing trip, rut or no.

Great trip, soon they will be toting bows with you like a little tribe of injuns. You can rename the camper "The Reservation." Life is good.

What did you have to pay the kids to hug you while you had that hat on?
