If they are doing serious damage and you have the coin I would look into an auto gate system like Jager pro or boar buster.

He is in the book, don't know what he charges. I have two of his and a corral with drop gate. And we still have hogs. His box traps are great.

Explain to me the do's and don't's of hog traps

Have heard all kind of things to do not to do with them.

At my Daughter/Son in Law farm I have shot one this year but see a lot of sign down near creek bottom and thinking of putting a hog trap out there .

Looked at the one at TS other day, good friend of mine just built some type of hog pen trap at his hunt club this weekend. They are covered up with hogs

I built mine out of cattle panels, t post and made a drop gatetriggered by a trip wire in the back of it. I baited it for about 2 weeks with the gate wired open so that they would get comfortable going into and out of it to eat the corn. Once I had them on camera coming in and out daily, I set the trigger and caught 7 of them the first night and 3 a few days later. Hope this helps.
