F the ACoE, taking out the grass is great for the pleasure boaters but the majority of Clarkshill users are fisherman and quite a few duck hunters. Plenty of open water for the pleasure boaters now. Typical government BS in my opinion. Figured this was coming when they were posting all the surveys the last few years.

I'm surprised this thread lasted this long. Last time I posted about grass carp being put in Clarks Hill a moderator pulled the thread. lol (big hidden secret that there's grass in Clarks Hill I guess)

SCDNR and SCEG dropped 3000 grass carp in Lake Murray a couple weeks ago and 5000 more are coming. This is to "manage native aquatic vegetation". Just about the time we start getting good grass in Lake Murray those with $$$ kick us in the teeth and cry about it. The majority of our DNR advisory board isn't about putting native submergent grasses in Lake Murray.

Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

I didn't know that this was potentially banworthy.

I did get a PM from someone wanting to know where they could find some grass though.

Kill every one of the carp. Clark’s Hill was one of the last lakes with good vegetation in the state.

I'm sure you could dry the grass out and then smoke it
