    Default Painting a boat

Im looking to paint a little p-row I have and I was wondering what method would allow the paint to stick to it best? Its metal and I have spray painted it in the past but the paint doesnt hold up as well as I would like it to.

It's all about the prep...clean surface and primer. But seriously you should take it to stumpknocker and be done with it.

I can prep, and paint your boat cheaper than you can buy the paint and materials ,,, just sayin, but with that said,, you have to scuff it up really well , pressure wash it , degrease it, and then wipe it down with acetone

Prep, prep, prep. Clean that sucker first then use a quality self-etching primer. Spray paint will stick to that. My old boat has held up for 8 years now with good prep work, a good primer and spray paint.

However, next time I'm calling Stump. Spray painting a boat is a pain in the ass (with cans...paint sprayers are great)
