    Default Answered prayers

Back in early July the guy my daughter had been dating for almost three years asked me for permission to ask for my daughter to marry him. I told him of a golden fleece that I desired and sent him away.

Golden Fleece and my blessing in hand, he secretly had his mom and dad (who are still happily married), me and my wife (still happily married), all the siblings, and selected close friends of his and hers meet at the exit of the corn maze at Boone Hall on Saturday. When they came out, my daughter was completely confused and asked, “what are y’all doing here?”

The young man dropped to one knee and made his proposal. It was accepted.

Ever since this little girl was born, my wife and I have prayed for God to prepare a perfect soulmate for her, give her the desire to find him and the wisdom to recognize him. I honestly believe this young man is the answer to those prayers.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Fathers have a tremendous hand in shaping their daughters. You should be proud of her and the job that you have done. He sounds like a fine young man.
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

Thanks guys. I'm a big believer in being the man that you'd want your daughter to marry - 100% of the time; all the time without even a single slip-up.

Yep. Too many guys don't learn that lesson until too late.

Congrats to you, and best wishes to the happy couple.

Congrats on the engagement. Good luck with the wedding.

My son (28) got married last Saturday and I'm still jacked up about it. If you need contacts for wedding planners, photography or catering let me know. They live in Summerville, married in Charleston.
Both sets of parents been married 35+ years, both families hunt and fish. Her daddy and I have became great friends.

I know what you mean but that's not what I meant. We are all perfected though Christ.
