    Default bilstein 5100 shocks review

Just do it. Decided to replace all the shocks and breaks in my 2011 F150 this weekend. The truck has never handled small bumps in the road well. Ass end would get jittery and feel like it wanted to step out. These shocks completely eliminated it in the little testing I did this afternoon. The tires stay planted. With the original shocks I felt the reflective markers glued to the road, I don’t feel them now, just hear them. I did not level the truck with the 5100’s; I used the second groove on the shock for the snap ring. This should only lift the front 0.75 inches. Don’t want the squat when I hook the my big boat or a heavy trailer up. The rear shocks lifted the rear a little, I guess from the higher pressure. Installed EBC rotors and pads and the breaking is much improved. I have run 275/70r18 tires on the truck since 5000 miles after I bought it. The 33 inch tires never rubbed with the stock shocks.

Bottom line is, just do it. I wish I had done it sooner. The ride is vastly improved.

Common sense is not a gift. It's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone else who doesn't have it.

I’m tempted to do that Dewayne. They smooth it out some?
