Resurrecting this old thread to ask... anybody have any experience with the Herters (sold by Cabelas) Titanium waders? They have a 4mm - seems like a good compromise.

Whatever you buy I recommend buying in a store where you can try them on, to make sure of a perfect fit! Shipping back for poor fit is a pain in the

I got the hodgman durastretch 5mm's.
They make me sweat, but thats my fault. They are warm and more comfortable than any other waders i have had on. Just the other day, i smoked a game warden on foot. It felt like i was wearing tennis shoes. I hadnt even done anything illegal, I just wanted to try em out.

LaCross Brushtuff 1200's. This is the third season with no problems. And they get used a lot.

I got a pair of Cabelas' Brushbuster waders for Christmas in 1991 and they're still going strong.

I've used them year around and everywhere from Currituck to Kansas to Fork Swamp to Sparkelberry.

Can't beat em. I know they're not neoprene, but 12 seasons in hard to beat.

I'll definitely get another pair when these finally die.

Cabelas ultimate waders. Best I've ever owned.

If Lacrosse fixed the seams from leaking, they are the best. They stand behind their product. I like the rocky's, too. They are a little heavier in the boot, but top notch....I wouldn't stray from lacrosse or Rocky's ..Both have brush tough ...

Cabela Dry-Plus breathables. You can wear as much or as little insulation as the weather demands. Nothing is more flexible.

Got to agree PB I am well pleased with my pair. 5 mils are way to bulky.

I had two pairs of Cabela's before this season. I got the Lacrosse super tuff expandable II.

They are versatile in that the extra room allow me to add layers underneath as needed. No leaks and boot fit was good to my size. I am not quite big enough to need the expandable but the room makes a difference. Compression straps on the side sinch them down to normal size for warm weather and price was under $125.

Cabela's Dry Plus Warrior Waders here. My first pair leaked in the left boot at the heel shank, some little thread there that is part of the manufacturing that didn't get sealed right. Cabela's of course allowed me to return them even 2 years after I bought them, for a new pair. Did that this year and no problems yet. I really enjoy the movement and flexibility of the Dry Plus waders, but the durability of the added protection from the thin neoprene they put on them at the seat and knees.

Very nice wader that should last quite awhile, but not cheap, $200 now.
