    Default Sportsman 242 open

Goin Coastal, when will these be out?

I have been looking around for boats in this size class with a big single engine and was considering a 232 open but this may be a little better option. My main deal is not having to hang upside down thru a damn hatch to work on the pumps. I've got buddys with bigger boats so my next one will be some offshore fishing, some booze cruising and maybe a little inshore fishing. I have been thinking Cobia 237, Key West 244 and Sportsman 232 open but this may be a new option.

We've built a 241 and 242 that were for our dealer meeting that canceled thanks to Irma. Those 2 are up in Annapolis for the boat show this weekend. We should have others hitting dealers soon.

The bilge access in the open series is awesome! No hanging upside down. The folding bench seat even gives you something comfortable to kneel down on while servicing. Also check out the detailing in the wiring beneath the helm. Impressive work to say the least.

JWS if your looking at a sportsman get with Whaler Dave. He was awesome to deal with on our 231. I wanted the 232 but the wife overruled me. I love the boat though

Went and looked at the 232 today and supposed to schedule a sea trial. How do you guys that have a sportsman like the ride? My last boat would kinda beat you to death, even if it wasn't all that rough.

Ralph, when ya'll going to offer a open bow boat. Not one with a bitch bench in the front, just a true wide open tourney style bow?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

The one's I've seen have the bitch bench in them. Crawled all over one at Hankel.

23 polar. I think the 20' nautic star I had before that rode better.

Funny how that works. I’ve had similar thoughts with previous boats also.

Picked up my 232 a few weeks ago. Added a second evo2 9, standard horizon gx1700, taco 280 outriggers and extra gemlux rod holders ( 3 aft 2 bow). Finally on the home stretch. Just got to put the outrigger poles in and do the rigging and tidy up the spray shield with some snaps at the top and I'll be ready to put some blood in this thing.
